We are pleased to announce that Dan Douglas has joined our Registry
team as Director of Operations. In this position Dan will be
responsible for the daily operation of the Registry as well as
expanding our offerings to better address the interests and needs of
our membership.

Dan brings a
wealth of experience spanning a variety of areas to the
Registries. As a lover of Corvettes ever since his
pre-adolescent days, he has owned 5 Corvettes spanning 1963
(yes, a split window coupe!) thru 1997 and has belonged to
many different Corvette clubs as well as being the first
member (V0003) of the Official C5 Registry. His career has
been focused within the computer industry as a consultant,
designer/developer, repairman (just ask Dan A. how many
times he has needed his computers to be fixed by Dan D.) and
user. "I hope to raise the variety of services that the
Official C5/C6 Registries offers to our members to a new
level of value to our members. The original vision that Dan
and Jake set for the Registry is an all encompassing one
that will serve a model for many years to come."

Included amongst the areas to be improved and launched are:
·
Self-service for
membership profile information
·
Automated car maintenance
services and logs
·
Electronic payment options
for new and renewals of memberships
·
Improvements to the
Corporate discount plans available to members
·
Exclusive offers of
merchandise and accessories
·
And many others!
Dan also stressed that “without direct input from the members, the
Registries will lose touch of what the members consider to be
valuable and necessary to maximize their ‘Corvette experience’. We
plan to regularly ask them for their opinions and guidance as to
what is both good and bad about the Registries and what we can do to
make their membership more valuable.”
