10
Wonderful Years And Counting !
The
Official C5/C6 Registry celebrated it's
tenth anniversary in 2007 and this year, is
the 10th year of the Birthday Bash.
Check out the "previous bash coverage" link
on the left and relive the last ten years of
one of the most popular Corvette events
ever... and you'll wonder... "how did it
all start ?"
Back in
1998 C5 Registry directors Dan Adovasio and
Jake Drennon got thinking .... Labor day 1997
they had founded a car club, and dedicated to the
remarkable new C5 Corvette. Now, in
1998, the best Corvette ever would be a year old
and what better way to celebrate
this fantastic new automobile than to have a "Birthday Party".

Welcome Members to the
April 2005 Bash! |

A
phone call was made to the National Corvette
Museum, the place where Dan and Jake started
the Registry at the Labor day celebration in
'97. After some negotiation, and planning,
the party was on! Scheduled for the last
weekend of March,1998, at the Mecca for
Corvette enthusiasts, the National Corvette
Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The
Official C5 Registry is now the Official
C5-C6 Registry, and the "Bash" is now 10
years old. The C5-C6 Registry has
experienced phenomenal growth over it's 11
year history, and the C5-C6 Registry Bash
and become the largest regular event at the
NCM. |

For our members who
for one reason or another can't make
the journey to Bowling Green, and for the non members
who are missing the fun and enthusiasm of these C5-C6
Registry annual events,
we've posted our event activities on the web each
of the past nine years, and this year is no exception.
Click here to re-live the first Birthday Bash in
photos, then return to follow us through the events
of the 2008
celebration.
The web,
electronic cameras and internet technologies have
changed. The fabulous C5 has evolved into the awesome C6
and the ZR1 is back in a whole new package, but those of us in the Registry "Still
Play With Cars", and we still have one heck of a
lot of fun! |
